Job summary

North Sky Communications is seeking a dedicated Mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on our fleet of vehicles and equipment. You will ensure safe and efficient operation in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include planning repairs, conducting diagnostics, and applying proactive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience, own tools, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a mechanic, preferably fleet or commercial equipment.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Mechanics may be expected to provide their own standard tools; shop provides larger/specialty tools as needed.

Responsibilities

• Determine repair or maintenance plans based on cost/benefit analysis.
• Conduct diagnostics to troubleshoot failures in vehicles and equipment.
• Inspect and provide proactive maintenance recommendations.
• Follow work procedures for repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Dismantle, repair, and reassemble vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and fueled at all times.
• Operate and test vehicles to ensure proper functioning.
