Dayton Children's Hospital is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to perform general maintenance and repair of hospital vehicles, including cars, trucks, ambulances, and support equipment. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems and help keep our fleet safe and reliable.
Requirements include a valid Ohio driver’s license, a minimum age of 21, and the ability to work outside normal shift hours as needed. A HSD/GED is required, and ASE Master Certification is preferred.
Working under the direction of the Fleet Manager, the Fleet Mechanic provides general maintenance and repair of all hospital vehicles including passenger cars, trucks, ambulances, refrigeration trucks, utility vehicles, snow plows, salt spreaders, and other equipment. The Fleet Mechanic is required to understand all aspects of automotive and light truck systems including (but not limited to) fuel, brake, electrical, HVAC, suspension, gasoline/diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrain, and hydraulic systems. The Fleet Mechanic is also responsible for general shop maintenance, deep cleaning, deliveries, and other duties as needed.
