Job summary

High Transit in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Fleet Technician to support our 3rd‑shift team. You will perform inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on Peterbilt trucks, flatbeds, cranes, and other heavy equipment, ensuring safety and reliability across our fleet.

This role requires 1–5+ years of fleet maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work Sundays through Thursdays from 9:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Qualifications

• 1–5+ years of fleet maintenance experience.
• A valid Driver’s license is required.
• Class 7 State Inspection and Emissions license preferred; training available.
• Welding experience is required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform local, state, and federal inspections on all types of equipment.
• Repair Peterbilt trucks, flatbed trailers, overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Conduct brake reconditioning, suspension repairs, and replacement of components.
• Repair tractor electronics.
• Complete welding repairs.
• Occasional road service duties; work outdoors as needed.

Location: High Transit, Lancaster, PA.

Position: Fleet Technician

This position supports our 3rd‑Shift team working Sunday‑Thursday from 9:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with availability for overtime. Third‑shift coworkers receive a 25% shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Perform local, state, and federal inspections on all types of equipment.
• Repair Peterbilt trucks, flatbed trailers, overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling and heavy equipment.
• Conduct brake reconditioning, suspension repairs, replacement of seals, alternators, starters, clutches, transmissions, and other general repairs for Class 1 to Class 8 vehicles.
• Repair tractor electronics.
• Complete welding repairs.
• Perform occasional road service duties a few times a year.
• Work in outdoor elements as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–5+ years of experience as a fleet maintenance mechanic.
• A valid Class 7 State Inspection and Emissions license is preferred; we will train candidates without this license to obtain it.
• General welding experience required.
• ASE certifications and refrigeration license are a plus.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, making decisions without supervision.
• Driver’s license required.
