Job summary

Valley Pacific Petroleum Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair a delivery truck fleet in the Stockton, CA area.

The ideal candidate will be thorough in diagnostics and proactive in preventive maintenance, ensuring DOT compliance and safe operation of all vehicles. Candidates should have a Class A diesel fleet specialty, knowledge of air brakes and electrical/hydraulic systems, and be able to track maintenance records and DVIRs.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of duties of a Class A diesel fleet mechanic.
• Knowledge of air brakes and related plumbing.
• Proficient in the diagnosis of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and AC systems.
• Knowledge of the DOT/FMCSA/CHP requirements for a hazmat fleet and intrastate commerce.
• Tanker fabrication and aluminum repair experience a plus.
• CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair the truck fleet and assist with maintenance records.
• Keep a clean and organized shop environment.
• Track maintenance records and prepare DVIRs for compliance.

Valley Pacific is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to maintain its fleet of delivery trucks in the Stockton, CA area. This person will assist with maintaining and repairing the truck fleet. This person will also help track all maintenance records and DVIRS.
