Overview

Valley Pacific is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to maintain its fleet of delivery trucks in the Stockton, CA area. This person will assist in the maintenance and repair of the truck fleet, keep track of maintenance records and DVIRS, and demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of the truck fleet.
• Assist in keeping track of all maintenance records and DVIRS.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.

Required Skills / Experience

• Must have thorough knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of a Class A diesel fleet mechanic.
• Knowledge of air brakes and related plumbing.
• Proficient in the diagnosis of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and AC systems.
• Knowledge of the mechanical requirements of the DOT/FMCSA/CHP for a HAZMAT fleet, performing intrastate commerce.
• Tanker fabrication and aluminum repair experience is a plus.
• Preventative maintenance background.
• CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements is a plus, but not required.
