JOB SUMMARY

Under general supervision, the Emergency Vehicle Mechanic performs preventative maintenance and repairs on emergency vehicles, including diesel and gasoline ambulances and support vehicles. This role involves maintaining accurate shop records and operating under the supervision of the EMS Director.

The role you’ll contribute:

• Provide exceptional customer service to team members.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle components accurately.
• Perform maintenance according to manufacturer or ASE standards.
• Repair issues identified during inspections.
• Assess and repair structural damage and replace components as needed.
• Road test vehicles to ensure quality repairs.

• Quickly troubleshoot and repair ambulances during crises.
• Perform preventative maintenance as recommended.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and shop equipment.
