Celerity designs, builds, services, and maintains fiber optics and wireless infrastructure. We are currently looking for a FT Fleet Mechanic. This position is responsible for maintenance and repair of the vehicle and equipment fleet by performing diagnostic testing, maintenance, and repairs as needed. The fleet includes passenger vehicles, medium-duty trucks, and construction equipment.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
  1. Diagnose and repair vehicles and construction equipment to ensure safe and proper operation and DOT compliance.
  2. Maintain fleet readiness and response times to keep vehicles in service, especially for ERS contracts.
  3. Respond to and provide emergency offsite field repairs, including after-hours if necessary.
  4. Conduct scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, lubrication, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements, and other services.
  5. Recondition and replace parts of construction equipment.
  6. Operate and test equipment like aerial lifts, derricks, mini-excavators, hydraulic equipment, and generators.
  7. Perform ANSI inspections on aerial lift devices.
  8. Recommend repairs and maintenance support from outside vendors.
  9. Diagnose issues involving significant wear and tear and recommend solutions.
  10. Produce detailed service reports and repair logs promptly.
  11. Maintain a safe, clean garage environment and keep workstations organized.
  12. Keep supervisors and team informed about daily tasks.
  13. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  14. Respond to DVIR deficiencies with Fleet Supervisors.
  15. Operate portable vehicle lifting equipment safely.
Education And Experience
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of mechanic experience required.
  • Experience with vehicle inspections is a plus.
  • Experience in operating, repairing, and maintaining construction equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record required; CDL Class A preferred.
  • CDL Medical eligibility required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer literacy required.
  • Experience with Mobile Generators is a plus.
Recommended Training
  • Manufacturer diagnostics and repair training.
  • Reasonable Suspicion, DOT Compliance, OSHA Safety, HR-related training.
  • Industrial lift truck operation training.

Position Details
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential for longer hours, emergency response, and weekend work.
  • Local daily travel to job sites; occasional overnight travel.
  • Physical requirements include lifting objects up to 50 pounds frequently and over 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Work environment includes warehouse/garage setting, outdoor exposure, and use of vehicles and tools. Safety is a core value.
Salary

$26.00 - $36.00 per hour
