Job summary

Quality Talent Group is seeking a Fleet Mechanic in Odessa, TX to diagnose and repair fleet equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure safety-critical systems function correctly. The role requires reading technical manuals, interpreting schematics, and performing heavy lifting as needed.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and braking systems, creating precise work orders, and testing equipment post-repair to verify performance.

Qualifications

• 3 years related experience or mechanics school graduate.
• Must have a valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Ability to read technical manuals and understand schematic diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform mechanical repair and maintenance to fleet equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance such as lubricating, oil changes, and failure analysis.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, brakes, and steering problems related to the equipment.
• Create work orders on repairs and services providing legible and accurate information.
• Test fleet equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license, Class A or B commercial driver's license preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must have the ability to read technical manuals and understand schematic diagrams
• Must be able to lift 100 pounds unassisted
