Sukup Manufacturing Co. is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of fleet vehicles and plant equipment. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation and regulatory compliance across engines, hydraulic and electrical systems.

The position requires a high school diploma, automotive training, and a strong mechanical background; overtime and occasional Saturday work are expected. A valid driver's license is required, CDL is a plus.

Formación

• High School Diploma required.
• Post secondary automotive certification or training preferred.
• Individual should have a strong automotive and hydraulic background.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Welding or fabrication experience a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, CDL a plus.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize is essential.
• Overtime hours and some Saturdays will be required.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair company vehicles, including trucks, vans, forklifts, and other plant related vehicles.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize vehicle downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records and logs for all fleet equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair engines, transmission, electrical, brake, suspension, and hydraulic systems.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, OSHA safety standards, and internal policies.
• Maintain proper inventory of parts, tools, and fluids necessary for fleet operations.
• Collaborate with plant and logistics teams to schedule repairs without disrupting production or deliveries.
• Support and train equipment operators on proper vehicle use and basic maintenance.
• Perform emergency roadside service calls when necessary.
• Assist with onboarding and inspecting new fleet equipment for compliance and readiness.
