Description

Summary: Ensure all equipment functions properly and is properly maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ensure all equipment is regularly fueled, oiled, lubricated, and cleaned.
2. Perform regular preventative maintenance to keep equipment operational and safe.
3. Maintain current equipment and maintenance logs and records.
4. Read and understand blueprints.
5. Operate power tools, hand tools, and other shop equipment.
6. Follow and enforce strict safety regulations, including wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
7. Monitor machinery for proper usage and temperature.
8. Possess strong mechanical skills for assembling parts.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED preferred. At least two years of experience in maintenance and servicing of equipment such as front-end loaders, graders, dozers, scrapers, backhoes, and landscaping equipment. Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a welder or a valid welding certification from an accredited institution, or a combination of experience and education. Knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals. Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence. Effective verbal communication skills.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability

Apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions. Deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission. Valid California Driver’s License. Must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino.

Physical Demands

Regularly stand, use hands, reach, talk, and hear. Frequently walk. Occasionally sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly, up to 60 pounds frequently, and over 100 pounds with assistance occasionally. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Occasionally exposed to wet, hot, humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, weather conditions, and noise levels requiring hearing protection.
