Job summary

Ahern in Fond du Lac, WI is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee the strategic direction, administration, and performance of the company’s fleet assets. You will lead a team and ensure safe, cost-effective operations while collaborating with operations, safety, finance, and field personnel to drive reliability.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience; CAFM certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5 years’ prior relevant experience.
• CAFM certification or similar is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational and customer service skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic direction, administration, and performance of the fleet assets.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are acquired, maintained, utilized, and disposed of safely and cost-effectively.
• Collaborate with operations, safety, finance, and field personnel to maximize fleet reliability and minimize downtime.
• Analyze operational trends, data, and vendor performance to identify process improvements.
• Develop and deliver fleet-related communications and training; lead a team and manage performance.
