Fleet Manager – Dayton, Ohio

Valicor Environmental Services is looking for a Fleet Manager at our Dayton, Ohio facility

Our Minimum Requirements for this Position:

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in fleet transportation/logistics at a supervisor level or above.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to effectively multi-task, while working in high-stress situations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

Responsibilities:

• Directs and dispatches fleet activities, including planning and scheduling driver routes.
• Oversees the entire fleet maintenance program for Dayton, Ohio.
• Conducts weekly planning and coordination to develop route plans for the upcoming week, including coordination with internal and external parties.
• Makes adjustments to driver schedules and routes based upon capacity to optimize runs.
• Utilizes creativity and quick thinking to make decisions on last minute scheduling.
• Serves as the first line of communication for all transportation-related issues.
• Works independently to resolve issues and communicates accordingly when additional input is needed.
• Provides exceptional, timely customer service to internal and external customers with respect to planning, scheduling, troubleshooting, and unexpected issues.
• Remains up to date on DOT requirements and other regulations as needed.
• Responsible for ensuring drivers are properly trained on Company safety policies and procedures.

Successful candidates must pass the Pre-Screening process if offered this position. This includes a criminal background check, drug screen, and MVR check (if applicable for the position).
