Job Summary

Greenrise Technologies is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to lead the maintenance, repair, and lifecycle management of our fleet of light- and medium-duty pickup trucks and heavy equipment deployed across our branch operations locations. This is a corporate, office-based role: rather than running a shop directly, the Fleet Manager partners with branch locations — treated as internal customers — and a network of outside repair vendors, using centralized systems and data to keep vehicles and equipment safe, compliant, and cost-effective fleet-wide.

Responsibilities include administering our fleet maintenance platform, using telematics data to drive proactive decisions, planning vehicle and equipment replacement cycles across all locations, and managing driver qualification files (through a third-party provider). The Fleet Manager will manage repair expenses, build strong working relationships with branch and field locations, and report regularly to leadership on fleet condition, spend, and compliance. Experience supporting a multi-location or multi-branch operation is a strong plus.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee repair and maintenance of the fleet, primarily light- and medium-duty pickup trucks and equipment (e.g. skid steers), across all branch locations, ensuring vehicles at each site are serviced promptly and correctly.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for branch locations (as internal customers) on all fleet repair, maintenance, and equipment issues.
  • Coordinate with outside repair vendors, dealers, and mobile/on-site repair services near each branch, and prioritize repairs across locations by urgency and operational impact.
  • Manage parts sourcing and vendor relationships to minimize downtime and keep repairs economical fleet-wide.
  • Establish and monitor preventive-maintenance and inspection standards for each branch location to keep vehicles and equipment properly maintained and presentable.
Fleet Management Systems & Technology
  • Fleetio (or comparable platform): Serve as primary administrator of the fleet maintenance management system across all branch locations — work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, service history, and cost reporting.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all maintenance, repairs, inspections, and service intervals fleet-wide.
  • Telematics (Geotab or comparable platform): Monitor vehicle location, utilization, engine diagnostics/fault codes, idle time, fuel usage, and driver behavior across locations to proactively flag maintenance needs and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Use data from fleet management and telematics platforms to inform repair-versus-replace decisions and identify trends across the fleet and between locations.
Vehicle & Equipment Lifecycle Management
  • Develop and maintain lifecycle plans for vehicles and equipment, covering acquisition, in-service utilization, depreciation, and replacement timing across all branch locations.
  • Analyze total cost of ownership (maint. spend, downtime, resale value) to recommend optimal replacement cycles.
  • Coordinate the purchase, upfitting, and disposal/resale of vehicles and equipment; manage titling, registration, and warranty documentation.
  • Build and manage relationships with dealers, outside vendors, and repair shops serving each branch location, and negotiate pricing, service agreements, and warranty terms.
Driver Qualification & Compliance
  • Maintain Driver Qualification (DQ) files in compliance with applicable DOT/FMCSA requirements, including license verification, MVR checks, medical certifications, and drug & alcohol testing program administration.
  • Monitor driver safety records and coordinate additional training or corrective action as needed.
  • Ensure the fleet remains in compliance with DOT, OSHA, and other applicable regulations and standards across all locations.
  • Maintain current registrations, titles, insurance documentation, and inspection/certification records for fleet assets.
Budget & Reporting
  • Manage the fleet repair, maintenance, and replacement budget across all locations; track spend against plan and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Track and report key fleet metrics (uptime, cost per unit/mile, maintenance spend, compliance status) to leadership, broken out by branch as needed.
  • Partner with branch managers and local staff to ensure fleet care standards, inspection routines, and reporting requirements are followed at each location.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in fleet management, including hands-on oversight of repair and maintenance for light- and medium-duty pickup trucks and heavy equipment.
  • Experience administering a fleet maintenance/repair management platform (e.g., Fleetio) required.
  • Experience with telematics platforms (e.g., Geotab) required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing vehicle and equipment lifecycle planning, replacement scheduling, and total cost of ownership analysis.
  • Experience managing Driver Qualification files and DOT compliance programs.
  • Mechanical/automotive or diesel background strongly preferred, to effectively evaluate vendor repairs and recommendations; ASE certification a plus.
  • Prior experience managing a repair/maintenance budget.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence without direct authority across a distributed organization.
  • Experience supporting/coordinating fleet operations across multiple branch or regional locations strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel in particular) and comfortable with fleet management/reporting software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant technical/vocational certification preferred.
  • Corporate, office-based role
  • Regular phone/video and email collaboration with branch locations, vendors, and leadership.
  • Periodic travel to branch and field locations for site visits, vendor meetings, and fleet audits.
