Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to lead a team in our client's frozen food business. This talent should oversee the supply chain & delivery process including vehicle operations, driver performance, and equipment management.

This key leadership role will be responsible for optimizing our logistics capabilities while ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining a high standards for on-time delivery.

The Fleet Manager serves as the critical link between our warehouse operations and delivery execution, aiming to achieve high customer satisfaction as well as keep internal team motivated.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Management -

• Ensure delivery trucks are in optimal operational condition, drive preventative maintenance programs and coordinate emergency repairs
• Monitor temperature control systems to support the exceptional 0.02% spoilage rate
• Track and manage material handling equipment assigned to drivers
• Monitor driver team's performance metrics, manage schedules
• Provide coaching and training to improve drivers' efficiency
• Motivate team with clear goal and expectations setting
• Review customer satisfaction ratings on a regular basis
• Enforce truck cleanliness standards and equipment check-in compliance

Logistics Optimization -

• Monitor real-time dashboard of all loading docks
• Track truck capacity utilization and
• Monitor staging area utilization to reduce congestion

Safety and Compliance -

• Ensure all drivers maintain proper licensing and certifications
• Handle traffic citations and maintain insurance compliance
• Implement safety training for all drivers

Reporting and Data Analysis -

• Act as key partner to the CEO and VP through data analysis and metrics tracking
• Keep up to date with the business to set and adjust targets for continual business growth
• Review cost and budget on regular basis

Key Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as Fleet Management, preferably in distribution/food industry
• Leadership exposure with experience in motivating and growing the team
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and hours of service requirements
• Experience with fleet maintenance programs and vehicle lifecycle management
• Mature with great interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and process management
• Fluent in English is a must, Spanish is a plus
