Job summary

Qualifications

• Prefer a four-year college degree with emphasis in a related field to the position.
• 6–12 months related experience and/or training.
• 0–12 months previous management experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a fleet of over the road drivers.
• Provide training and education to drivers.
• Ensure drivers reach corporate goals.
• Control costs by following guidelines and promptness of swaps, T-Calls, and repowers.
• Generate accurate weekend pay reports.
• Assist in creating department action plans that support the company’s strategic plan.
• Establish, modify, document and coordinate job documentation or areas managed.
• Manage, assign, delegate and direct duties of drivers.
• Appraise performances, coach, counsel, reward and discipline drivers.
• Maintain harmony among workers and resolve conflicts.
• Terminate drivers when necessary.
• Support and enforce operational and personnel policies and procedures.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through training.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Control cost by following established guidelines and promptness of: swaps, T-Calls, and repowers.
• Generate accurate weekend pay reports.
• Assist and participate in the creation of department actions plans that support the company’s strategic business plan.
• Establish, modify, document and coordinate job documentation or areas managed.
• Manage, assign, delegate and direct duties of drivers.
• Appraise performances, coach, counsel, reward and discipline drivers.
• Maintain harmony among workers and resolve conflicts.
• Terminate drivers, if necessary.
• Support and enforce operational and personnel policies, company programs and procedures.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending and participating in appropriate training.
• Ensure company confidentiality.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
