Job description

About Jetson:

Jetson is on a mission to accelerate the transition of 100 million homes across North America away from fossil fuels toward sustainable energy use. We believe in a future that is 100% electric and 100% better.

Homes are one of the largest sources of carbon emissions, yet adoption of solutions like heat pumps remains slow due to cost and complexity. Jetson is solving this by building the first fully vertically integrated home electrification company — making clean energy simple, transparent, and affordable.

We rely heavily on technology, automation, and data to scale this impact. At Jetson, we value people who are excellent at their craft, curious about new tools (including AI), and motivated to continuously improve how work gets done.

The Opportunity:

We're hiring a Fleet Manager to serve as the operational backbone of our field presence across North America. As we aggressively scale our installation capacity in 2026, you will own the end-to-end management of our vehicle fleet—ensuring our operators have reliable, well-maintained vehicles that enable them to deliver exceptional service to customers every single day. This role isn't just about keeping vehicles on the road; it's about building a fleet management system that scales with our growth while optimizing for cost, safety, and operational excellence.

You will lead the strategic planning, procurement, maintenance, and lifecycle management of our fleet, ensuring we have the right vehicles in the right markets at the right time. While you'll oversee fleet operations across multiple geographies, your work is deeply integrated with Field Operations, Finance, and Safety teams to ensure our fleet supports aggressive installation targets while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and efficiency. You'll be responsible for hitting key OKRs tied to vehicle uptime, cost per mile, safety metrics, and fleet readiness—turning a growing collection of vehicles into a strategic competitive advantage.

What You Will Do:
  • Own the complete fleet lifecycle from procurement and deployment through maintenance, replacement, and disposal across all Jetson markets
  • Own the complete fleet lifecycle from procurement and deployment through maintenance, replacement, and disposal across all Jetson markets
  • Build and scale fleet management processes, vendor relationships, and maintenance programs that support rapid geographic expansion while maintaining consistent standards
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for fleet performance including vehicle utilization, maintenance costs, fuel/charging efficiency, safety incidents, and downtime
  • Partner with stakeholders to forecast fleet needs based on installation volume, technician headcount, and market expansion plans
  • Establish preventive maintenance schedules and vendor networks to minimize vehicle downtime and maximize technician productivity
  • Implement fleet safety programs, driver training protocols, and compliance frameworks that meet local, state, and federal regulations
  • Manage fleet budget and identify opportunities for cost optimization through strategic purchasing, fuel programs, insurance negotiations, and lifecycle planning.
What You Bring:

  • Proven track record managing fleet budgets and delivering cost efficiency improvements
  • Experience with fleet management systems, telematics platforms, and data-driven decision making
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations, vehicle safety standards, and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience in compliance-heavy or regulated environments.
  • Proven ability to build scalable processes and documentation.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, able to manage multiple markets simultaneously.
  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced, evolving startup environment.
