Job summary

Core-Mark is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and routine truck and trailer maintenance in our Iowa facilities. You will respond to issues, log repairs, and participate in regular inspections to ensure safety and reliability of our fleet.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to procedures, and continuous training; candidates will be trained for required tasks and operations within a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

Knowledge of and skill in general tractor/trailer maintenance.
Ability to communicate with drivers, co-workers, and management.
Ability to be task oriented and focused on goal achievement.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to check and correct own work.
Medium physical work; mostly in shop, some outside work.

Responsibilities

WILL TRAIN CANDIDATES!
Conduct scheduled power unit and trailer preventative maintenance.
Respond to driver tractor/trailer issues and correct problems promptly.
Log inspections and repairs in the fleet data base.
Conduct annual tractor/trailer inspections.
Keep work area orderly and clean.
Attend ongoing tractor/trailer maintenance training as necessary.
