Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Fleet Technician I in Allentown, PA to maintain and repair mobile storage fleet equipment, including containers and office trailers. The role requires basic maintenance tasks, safe practices, and accurate work-order documentation.

You will travel to customer sites, assist CDL A drivers, and support equipment modifications per specifications. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required, with opportunities for growth within a leading equipment rental

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Active state driver's license required.
• Related maintenance experience a plus.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Construction knowledge and background.
• Teamwork and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Ability to utilize information technology.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and warranty processes.
• Accurately record time and material used for work orders.
• Lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mobile storage fleet equipment including containers, ground level offices, office trailers, and modular buildings.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks safely per company standards.
• Travel to customer sites to set up office trailers and assist CDL A drivers.
• Complete work orders and related documentation.
• Operate forklifts and manage yard cleanliness.
• Adhere to 5S guidelines and keep tools and supplies organized.
