Job summary

Raymond of New Jersey, LLC is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to maintain, inspect, and repair company vehicles and equipment to keep operations safe and reliable. You will work on vans, cars, trucks, trailers, and material handling equipment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical experience, knowledge of gas and diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems, plus strong troubleshooting and paperwork skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• HD truck training or 2+ years of related mechanical experience.
• Knowledge of gas/diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, HVAC and electrical systems.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and perform basic maintenance tasks.
• CDL preferred but not required; DOT knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on company vehicles, including vans, cars, trucks, trailers, and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues involving engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulics, electrical, and HVAC.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Complete maintenance records, mileage/hour tracking, and parts paperwork.
• Maintain registrations and DOT inspection records.
• Assist with equipment staging and general building maintenance as needed.
