Job summary

Durham School Services is seeking a Fleet Tech II to support our school bus fleet through diagnosing and repairing medium/heavy vehicles. You will work across multiple systems, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the fleet.

This role requires at least three years of mechanic repair experience, proficiency with diagnostic tools, and a valid state license. We offer benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, and a retirement savings plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of light/medium/heavy-duty mechanic repair experience.
• Technical knowledge of major vehicle systems; diesel equipment experience required.
• Valid applicable state license (CDL preferred), with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automotive and diesel systems.
• Perform engine adjustments, rebuilds, and test drives.
• Complete required safety inspections and repair sign-offs.
