Job summary

Durham School Services is seeking a Fleet Technician I to support our school bus fleet in Kenilworth, NJ. You will handle diagnostics, inspections, and repairs, ensuring safety and reliability for every school day.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience with medium/heavy trucks and advanced knowledge of diesel and gas systems. You will work with advanced diagnostic equipment and have opportunities for ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years medium/heavy truck fleet mechanic repair experience.
• Advanced technical knowledge of major vehicle components in diesel and gas equipment.
• Valid applicable state license (CDL preferred) and ASE Certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automotive and diesel systems.
• Perform engine adjustments, rebuilds, and test drives.
• Complete required safety inspections and repair sign-offs.
