Oklahoma Department of Transportation is seeking a Fleet Specialist I-II in Sallisaw, OK. The role involves maintaining a diverse state vehicle fleet, diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and coordinating repairs and parts acquisition.

The position requires 2 years of relevant automotive experience, proficiency with diagnostic tools, and the ability to explain technical matters to non-mechanics. A valid Oklahoma driver's license is required, with CDL often preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in automobile, truck, heavy equipment maintenance
• Knowledge of automotive electrical, hydraulic, and emission systems
• Ability to read and understand service manuals and schematics
• Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license (CDL may be required)

Responsabilités

• Perform major and minor preventative maintenance on state vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic problems.
• Operate diagnostic tools and computer software for troubleshooting.
• Weld and fabricate as needed.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical personnel.
• Supervise repair facility operations and provide training to staff.
• Plan, direct and schedule repairs and equipment procurement.
• Assist with budgeting and fleet management decisions.
