Job summary

Tri-State Tree Service in Pensacola, FL is hiring an entry-level Fleet Maintenance Technician to support our fleet of aerial lifts, wood chippers, and heavy equipment. You will assist lead technicians with routine servicing and repairs, gaining hands-on experience in a safe, practical environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with engine tune-ups, lubrication, tire/brake inspections, electrical work, fluid management, and documenting all maintenance in our tracking systems.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in mechanical assistance or automotive/heavy equipment maintenance.
• Foundational mechanical understanding and automotive system knowledge.
• Current driver's license with acceptable driving history.
• Capability to interpret technical manuals and repair specifications.
• Competency with manual and powered tool operation.

POSITION SUMMARY

Join Tri-State Tree Service as a Mechanic Helper, where you'll provide critical assistance to our fleet maintenance operations. This role focuses on supporting lead technicians in servicing our specialized tree care equipment fleet, including aerial lifts, wood chippers, stump removal equipment, and other heavy-duty machinery. Gain valuable hands-on mechanical experience while contributing to safe, reliable equipment performance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Assistance

• Provide support for scheduled maintenance activities: engine tune-ups, lubrication services, tire and brake system inspections, ignition component replacement
• Assist with electrical system work: power supply replacements, starter motor service, illumination system repairs
• Support fluid system maintenance and tire service operations

Troubleshooting and Verification

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Mandatory Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in mechanical assistance or automotive/heavy equipment maintenance
• Foundational mechanical understanding and automotive system knowledge
• Current driver's license with acceptable driving history
• Capability to interpret technical manuals and repair specifications
• Competency with manual and powered tool operation

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

Shift: Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM (includes 1-hour meal break) | Weekly Hours: 40
