Job summary

City of St. Cloud is seeking a Fleet Services Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of municipal vehicles and equipment. The role requires hands-on experience with gasoline/diesel motors, hydraulics, electrical, and HVAC systems, plus a Florida CDL-B within 180 days.

The position is a contract with reSOURCE Government Services, offering $23.26 per hour plus holiday pay, benefits, and PTO. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:30am–3pm, with on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent with 1–2 years of vehicle repair/maintenance experience.
• ASE or other relevant certification preferred.
• Valid Florida CDL Class B within 180 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and test engines and drivetrains and their control systems.
• Diagnose, repair and test hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components.
• Diagnose, repair and test electrical systems and components.
• Diagnose, repair and test brake, steering, and suspension systems and components.
• Diagnose, repair and test HVAC systems and components.
• Remove, install, balance tires and repair tires on automotive equipment.
• Prepare vehicles for service and surplus equipment for disposal.
• Respond to calls for service in the field and perform preventive maintenance.
