Job summary

MTM Transit in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician Class B to service, diagnose, repair and maintain MTM Transit service vehicles at 829 West Silverlake Road. Schedule: 1:00pm - 9:30pm, Mon–Fri; Pay: $28.00-$29.00/hr depending on experience. Join a team dedicated to safety, reliability and community mobility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Must be 21 years or older
• Must have and maintain a valid Arizona CDL with passenger endorsement
• No reckless driving offenses within the past 5 years
• No convictions involving moral turpitude within the past 5 years
• No DUI or DWI convictions
• Possess valid authorization to work in the United States
• Must be able to pass a DOT Physical and pre-employment drug screening
• Must pass criminal background check and investigation & Motor Vehicle Record check

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, service, diagnosing, & repair of MTM Transit service vehicles
• General maintenance and repairs of MTM Transit facilities and grounds
• Areas of repair include automotive vehicle, light duty truck, powertrains, undercarriage/chassis, electronic and electrical equipment, air conditioning and heating systems, and vehicle accessories and equipment drivability and diagnosis
• Assist in maintaining shop and facility to include servicing vehicle lifts, pumps, and like equipment
• Ensure accuracy when completing electronic work orders
• Perform additional duties as assigned or required

What will your job look like?

We are looking for a Fleet Maintenance Technician Class B to help maintain a fleet of vehicles in our Tucson, AZ location. This position consists of service, diagnosing, repair, and general maintenance of MTM Transit service vehicles.

Location: 829 West Silverlake Road, Tucson, AZ 85713

Schedule: 1:00pm - 9:30pm, Monday - Friday

Pay: $28.00 - $29.00/hr depending on experience

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for maintenance, service, diagnosing, & repair of MTM Transit service vehicles

What you’ll need:

_ Experience, Education & Certifications: _

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Must be 21 years or older

_ Skills: _

• Must possess the AC609 Certification or ability to obtain
• Experience using hand and power tools, machinery, sophisticated test and diagnostic equipment related to automotive repair
• Must possess proper hand tools or willing to obtain. MTM will supply diagnostic, heavy and specialty equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organizational skills with attention to timeliness and details
• Proficient in computer skills to ensure electronic repair work orders are completed correctly
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures
• Ability to attend safety and vehicle repair course as may be required
• Willing to adhere to company policies, procedures and regulations
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
• Regular attendance is required

MTM Transit ASE Certification Program $$$$

• Master ASE certification in an approved series, the employee will receive an annual bonus of $2,500. For each year the employee retains their Master ASE in an approved series you will receive $2,500.
• Each initial passing of an ASE test you will now receive a one time bonus of $250.00.
• MTM will pay for each test for the technicians up to 2 times per test. If a technician fails their test multiple times (2) then MTM may choose to have the technician pay for additional testing for the same test and would then reimburse the technician upon passing.
