Executive Recruiting Manager, Corestaff Services
The Fleet Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining a fleet of vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal condition for the safe transportation of our products. and for inspecting and maintaining vehicles and assets. This position will play an important role in ensuring our fleet is operational, meets compliance standards in accordance with D.O.T. regulations, and ready to deliver our products to our customers.
- Location: Fort Worth, TX 76119
- Hours: 7am – 4PM with a 1Hr lunch
- Pay: $24.00 Per hour.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs routine maintenance and inspections on company vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and other assets.
- Conducts preventive maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of our fleet and report findings to the Fleet Manager.
- Under the guidance of the Fleet Manager, performs scheduled tasks related to vehicle maintenance.
- Assists with vehicle inspections and conducts inspections to ensure regulatory compliance with D.O.T. standards. (Training may be provided)
- Maintains accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed and inputs finding into tracking and monitoring software.
- Responds to emergency breakdowns and provide on-site repairs when needed, based on experience and qualifications.
- Conducts inventory of shop supplies and materials and makes recommendations for purchasing to the Fleet Manager.
- Upholds safety protocols and ensures vehicles are safe for operations.
- Occasional travel to other locations may be required on a limited basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned based on experience, skills, and business needs.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Familiarity with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the three C’s (Complaint, Cause, Correction)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Able to work both individually and in a team.
- Deadline-oriented.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Training, and Experience Required)
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: 2 years’ experience as a mechanic, preferably in a fleet or commercial vehicle setting
- Preferred: Some technical education or college.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and parts ordering.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
