Job summary

MTM Transit is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician Class B in California to perform maintenance, electrical service, diagnosing and repair of MTM Transit service vehicles, ensuring safety and reliability for riders and teams.

You will also assist with facility maintenance, maintain accurate electronic work orders, and collaborate with teammates to meet contractual obligations while delivering high-quality service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ASE certifications preferred for Level A mechanic.
• CDL Class B with Air-brake testing if applicable to the contract.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Provide own air and hand tools as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, electrical service, diagnosing, and repair of MTM Transit service vehicles.
• General maintenance and repairs of MTM Transit facilities and grounds.
• Areas of repair include vehicles, powertrains, electrical systems, HVAC, and related components.
• Ensure accuracy when completing electronic work orders.
• Maintain shop and facility equipment and tools as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
