Job summary

St. Vincent Electricity Services Limited (VINLEC) seeks a proactive Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor to manage the company’s vehicle fleet, ensuring vehicles are available and fit for purpose to support operations.

You will schedule planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime, and conduct tool and PPE inspections while keeping accurate maintenance records and enforcing VINLEC safety rules. Strong supervisory and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or an equivalent Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering; or a City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Engineering or Level 2 Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of five years work related experience including two years in a supervisory position.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics and diagnostic tools; ability to interpret repair requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the company fleet to ensure vehicles are available and fit for purpose.
• Schedule planned maintenance and respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Conduct job safety briefings and provide clear instructions to mechanics for safe, efficient work.
• Maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records including history, labour, and parts.
