Job summary

MV Transportation seeks an Assistant Fleet Maintenance Manager in Los Angeles to support daily ops for CNG/propane fleets. You will supervise maintenance staff, organize the yard, and handle administrative duties, ensuring smooth shifts when the manager is away.

The role requires a CDL, 3+ years of supervisory experience, strong inventory and vendor management, and solid cost control and scheduling abilities. Diesel experience is required, ASE certification preferred.

Qualifications

• CDL license required.
• Supervisory experience for 30+ personnel.
• Track parts inventories and manage vendors.
• Prioritize and manage work schedules and projects.
• Manage financial aspects of fleet maintenance.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Technical competence with light/medium/heavy duty vehicle repair and PM.
• Display initiative and professionalism.
• Minimum 3 years of fleet maintenance supervision.
• Diesel experience required; ASE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Fleet Maintenance Manager with day-to-day maintenance operations for CNG and propane vehicles.
• Oversee maintenance personnel, organize the maintenance yard, and handle administrative duties.
• Supervise maintenance operations during shifts when the Fleet Maintenance Manager is not at the shop.
