Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. in Asheville, NC is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate and audit maintenance for tractors, trucks and trailers, including preventative work. You will also manage inventory, develop the team, and personally perform repairs and PMs.

The role operates on a 3rd shift (Sun-Thu, 11pm-7:30am) with a focus on meeting customer expectations and maintaining high quality service in a cost-efficient operation.

Qualifications

• 5 years fleet maintenance management experience preferred.
• Fully qualified to work as Tech I or Journeyman Mechanic.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates or Tech School degree preferred.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills required.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License required.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and web based applications preferred.
• DOT, OSHA and Penske safety policies awareness and adherence.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed customer satisfaction.
• Coach/Mentor/Develop service department associates.
• Monitor associate work levels.
• 50-75% of time completing repairs and doing PMs.
• Fleet maintenance management and repair expense management.
• Identifying areas for improvement and reinforce policies and procedures.
• Facility management, assuring a clean and safe working environment.
• Other duties and tasks as required by the manager.
