Job summary

Cathay Express Transportation, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead daily maintenance operations, ensure vehicle readiness, and coordinate with maintenance staff and vendors in the Queens area.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance planning, inspections, and ensuring compliance with NYSDOT and company standards, while maintaining safety and service reliability across the fleet.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5 years of heavy-duty fleet maintenance experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory/lead experience.
• CDL Class B or higher preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NYSDOT inspections, DVIRs, and vehicle compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day maintenance operations for buses and support vehicles.
• Plan daily work to protect pullout and vehicle availability.
• Ensure vehicles are safe, inspected, fueled, and service-ready before use.
• Maintain maintenance records and communicate with operations and dispatch.
