Job summary

The City of Fort Collins is seeking a part-time Maintenance Helper, Fleet. The position cleans and maintains building appearance, delivers pool cars, and shifts City vehicles. Hours are Monday–Friday, 6am–1pm, up to 29 hours per week.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; 1–2 years related experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to operate and maintain vehicles and equipment such as snowplow and forklift.
Basic math skills.
Ability to pass pre-employment fit for duty test.
Submit to pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

Maintains building appearance.
Operates snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots, sidewalks and driveways.
Performs custodial duties such as cleaning building, sweeping, scrubbing floors and emptying trash.
Delivers City vehicles to outside vendors.
Inspects vehicles in pool and performs minor maintenance such as tire repairs, checking fluids, and fueling.
