Job summary

Sysco Grand Rapids, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Utility Worker to maintain fleet readiness. Responsibilities include fueling equipment, checking fluid levels, and assisting the fleet shop to ensure equipment is ready for use. You will also support night operations and help keep the yard organized.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience with basic math and writing abilities. Training to operate tractors and trailers will be provided.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1–3 months related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Basic math and unit conversions.
• Learn to drive and back-up tractor-trailers and straight trucks.

Responsibilities

• Fuel every piece of delivery equipment daily.
• Check all fluid levels of power equipment daily.
• Assist the fleet shop when needed.
• Work with fleet shop and night warehouse management to ready equipment for use.
• Wash trailers per FSQA schedule.
• Keep parking lot clean and free of debris.
• Support the night truck spotters to organize the truck yard.
