Job summary

US FOODS is hiring to support daily Fleet Maintenance operations in a warehouse/distribution setting. You will assist the Fleet Manager, maintain parts inventory, and coordinate deliveries and communications with vendors. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, with knowledge of Class 8 tractor/trailer repair and prior fleet maintenance experience preferred. Benefits and base hourly rate are outlined in the posting.

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Assist the Fleet Manager with daily Fleet Maintenance operations.
• Maintain truck and trailer parts inventory and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Order, receive, and track parts inventory.
• Coordinate parts deliveries and vendor communications.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist internal and external customers.
• Maintain fleet maintenance records, filing systems, and related documentation.
• Support fleet maintenance reporting and administrative functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table

Education / Training

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Related Experience

• Knowledge of Class 8 tractor/trailer repair preferred.
• Fleet maintenance experience preferred.

• Self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.

The expected base rate for this role is between $18.00 and $21.00 per hour.
