Courier Connection is recruiting a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to help us keep our vehicles on the road and functioning efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Fleet Maintenance and Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of the company's fleet of vehicles. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, schedule routine servicing, and manage vehicle inspections to ensure the fleet's optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Hiring Immediately for Dayshift: Tuesday - Saturday
- Perform weekly inspections of all vehicles to check tire pressure, oil levels, and tire tread wear to ensure each vehicle operates safely and efficiently.
- Schedule and coordinate all preventative maintenance and repair work on fleet vehicles.
- Review daily driver logs to address safety, maintenance, or mechanical concerns.
- Implement a monthly interior and exterior cleaning schedule for company vehicles.
- Maintain an inventory of vehicle equipment supplies such as spare tires, motor oil, wiper blades, and phone holders.
- Provide roadside assistance to drivers with mechanical issues or flat tires (willingness to change vehicle tires required).
- Performance Analytics and Reporting: Collect and analyze data related to fleet operations, including KPIs like fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and equipment utilization. Generate reports to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Compliance and Safety: Knowledge of state and federal regulations to ensure vehicle compliance.
- Ensure the telematics application is operational on each driver’s phone.
- Vendor and Supplier Management: Develop and maintain relationships with vehicle suppliers, maintenance providers, and other vendors. Work with suppliers to ensure an adequate supply of parts and maintenance supplies.
- Monitor vendor performance to ensure cost-effective fleet management.
- Organize work assignments, establish priorities, and utilize analytical skills to increase efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve customer service.
