Avis Budget Group in Indianapolis, IN, is hiring a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and light repair on box trucks and cargo vans. You’ll work on a modern fleet across brands, building automotive skills and contributing to safe, reliable vehicles for customers.

We value hands-on workers with mechanical aptitude who are 21+, have a valid Drivers License, and are comfortable in a shop environment. On-the-job training and benefits support career growth.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License (Class A, B, or C).
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or prior auto maintenance experience.
• Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels.
• Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles.
• Must be able to obtain DOT medical clearance.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely.
• 6 months auto maintenance experience or completion of an automotive technical school program is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and light repair work on our fleet of box trucks and cargo vans.
• Oil and fluid services, tire repairs and rotations, and related tasks in a safe, quality-focused manner.
• Assist more experienced technicians as skills develop and potentially drive a Budget Truck for testing or operational needs.
