Job summary

Townsend Energy in Danvers, MA is seeking a Fleet Support Technician to help maintain day-to-day vehicle operations and readiness across multiple locations. The role involves moving company vehicles, coordinating with supervisors and mechanics, and supporting telematics installation and equipment installs.

You'll handle inspections, documentation, and basic vehicle updates, with a requirement for a valid CDL-B with Hazmat and strong safety awareness.

Qualifications

• CDL-B with Hazmat endorsement required.
• Experience with vehicle movement and fleet logistics preferred.
• Familiarity with telematics devices and basic vehicle installations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Moves company vehicles, trucks, and equipment between locations and vendors.
• Coordinates vehicle movement with Fleet Supervisor, operations managers, mechanics and drivers.
• Picks up and delivers vehicles for inspections, repairs, or equipment installation.
• Completes inspections, defect reports, and related documentation as needed.
• Installs telematics equipment such as Samsara cameras and gateways.
• Installs basic vehicle equipment including racks, brackets and safety items.
• Prepares new vehicles for deployment with required equipment and documents.
• Supports decommissioning by removing equipment and documents as directed.
• Performs basic maintenance tasks and checks under supervision.
