Job summary

U.S. Xpress, Inc. in Ellenwood, GA is seeking an Operations Leader to manage Driver Leaders and driver/tractor performance to ensure top-tier service for customers.

The role oversees scheduling, KPI-based performance, coaching, and mentorship, promoting safe operations while addressing varied business needs. Responsibilities

• Manage a community of Driver Leaders whose duties include management of Drivers and tractors to ensure success is achieved for customers and Drivers.
• Manage work schedules including coverage for holidays, sick days, etc. for all employees
• Monitor employee and Driver performance through KPI and soft-skill management
• Enhance employee performance through coaching, mentoring and documentation
• Managing Driver’s performance while promoting safe operations
• Monitor freight assigned to Drivers in order to ensure the highest level of service to our customers
• Lead team with strong work ethic & integrity
• Fill-in for other business needs, as warranted
• Monitor and Manage KPI’ for P&L Fuel Management, and Utility

What We’re Looking For:

Education

• Administration & Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
