Job summary

gategroup is seeking a Lead Technician Vehicle to oversee maintenance of our fleet and equipment in Hawaii. You will perform timely, cost-effective upkeep and ensure DOT compliance where applicable.

You will report to the local unit director of operations and west regional fleet manager, driving quality and safety on every service call. The role requires 7+ years in preventive maintenance, strong hydraulic and electrical knowledge, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 7+ years preventive maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Able to read electrical schematics/vehicle diagrams.
• Welding and fabrication skills preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with all required vendors.
• Sources all needed parts and equipment.
• Maintains local preventive maintenance schedule and ensures compliance.
• Keeps shop and parts inventory at the required level.
• Locates, corrects and adjusts defects on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Installs and repairs radios, heaters, mirrors and windshield wipers.
• Maintains detailed records of time and materials used for diagnosis.
• Ensures EPA compliance and OSHA standards are maintained.
