Job summary

Roberts Hawaii is seeking a skilled Mechanic II to inspect, diagnose, and repair a range of company vehicles in our Hawaii shop. You will lead junior technicians and ensure timely, safe maintenance of a diverse fleet.

You must possess five years of relevant experience or equivalent training, plus ASE certifications or a Hawaii license, and own your tools. Candidates should be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and nights.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum five years of work-related experience as Mechanic II or equivalent training/education.
• Able to calculate basic math operations (addition, subtraction, division).
• Must speak, read and write in English.
• Minimum five ASE certificates or Hawaii State Mechanic License.
• Must have a Type 3 License with a current traffic abstract.
• Must own hand tools.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and correct mechanical discrepancies on company vehicles (minor to major repairs).
• Train and supervise underclass technicians (e.g., Mechanic Tech II, Mechanic Helper).
• Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Coordinate job assignments based on technical abilities.
• Generate written work orders daily for tasks and accomplishments.
