Job summary

Cross Environmental Services is seeking a hands-on Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of commercial vehicles and heavy demolition equipment. You will diagnose diesel engines, hydraulics, suspensions, and air brake systems to minimize downtime, while adhering to strict safety protocols.

The ideal candidate will have experience with semis, roll-off trucks, excavators, and skid steers, and hold a valid CDL with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience maintaining and repairing commercial diesel trucks and heavy earth-moving equipment.
• Deep knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, heavy suspensions, and air brake systems.
• Uncompromising commitment to shop safety, lifting standards, and hazardous materials handling.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair a diverse fleet including semis, roll-off trucks, excavators, and skid steers.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and systems faults to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to safety protocols and proper handling of fluids, batteries, and hazardous materials.
• Test drive and verify repairs; ensure compliance with vehicle regulations.
