The Town of Nantucket Department of Public Works seeks a qualified Maintenance Technician who can perform a wide range of skilled work. Duties include maintaining work vehicles and heavy equipment, and operating dump trucks, snowplows, bulldozers, and related machinery.

Candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent, plus up to three years in grounds and roadway maintenance. Licenses required include Class D license; hoisting and CDL with tanker endorsement within two years.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Up to three years of experience in grounds and roadway maintenance.
• Class D Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Operator’s license at time of hire.
• Hoisting License (2A, 4E or 4G per 520 CMR 6.10) and CDL Class B with tanker endorsement within two years of hire.

Responsabilités

• Maintenance of work vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Operates and maintains a variety of power and hand tools.
• Serves and maintains trucks and equipment.
• Operates a range of light and heavy motor equipment including dump trucks, sanders, snowplows, bulldozer, and backhoe.
