Job summary

Amazon's Hardware Engineering AI/ML UltraServer team in Austin seeks a Systems Development Engineer to build automation software, diagnostic tooling, and fleet health infrastructure for our accelerated compute platforms.

You will tackle hardware, firmware, kernel, and software challenges across the stack, own end-to-end systems, and implement self-healing automation with telemetry, dashboards, and scalable test strategies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• 2+ years designing or architecting reliable and scalable systems.
• 2+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Experience programming in C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.

Responsibilities

• Build and own automation infrastructure for accelerator fleet health at scale.
• Design and develop test frameworks, coverage strategies, and diagnostic tooling.
• Design predictive failure detection using telemetry, sensor data, and log correlation.
• Develop monitoring dashboards and alerting for real-time fleet health.
• Define and track fleet health metrics such as failure rates and MTTR.
