Job summary

People, Technology & Processes is seeking a Fleet/Generator Maintenance Technician at Fort Bragg, NC. You will perform field-level maintenance on wheeled vehicles, trailers, material handling equipment, and power generation equipment up to 60KW, with a focus on reliability and safety.

Role requires technical proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, documentation with DA forms, and proficiency in GCSS-Army. U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Technical proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and power generation maintenance.
• Experience with military or heavy equipment maintenance preferred.
• EPA refrigerant certifications (608/609) for HVAC work.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMCS and both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on vehicles, generators, and related systems.
• Inspect, repair, replace, or test engines, fuel, air, cooling, and hydraulic systems.
• Complete DA forms and maintain labor-hour records; use GCSS-Army for scheduling and reporting.

Position Title: Fleet/Generator Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Fort Bragg, NC.Clearance required: SECRETScope of Work: Provides field-level maintenance on over 360 pieces of tactical and non-tactical wheeled vehicles, trailers, material handling equipment, generators (3KW to 60KW), and HVAC/ECU systems supporting B Company, Support Battalion, 1st SWTG (A) at Fort Bragg.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Perform PMCS and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wheeled vehicles, material handling equipment, and power generation equipment per Technical Manuals and OEM manuals within authorized Maintenance Allocation Chart levels.Inspect, service, repair, replace, adjust, and test power plants, engines, fuel, air, exhaust, and cooling systems, chassis, powertrain, brake, steering, suspension, and hydraulic systems.Troubleshoot automotive electrical systems including wiring harnesses and starting and charging systems using digital multimeters and diagnostic software.Complete DA Form 5988-E, DA Form 5990-E, and man-hour accounting worksheets accurately.Utilize the Maintenance Support Device for troubleshooting, parts identification, and requisitioning National Stock Numbers.Create and maintain PA61 work schedules in GCSS-Army and provide weekly labor-hour reports.Assist with QA/QC inspections, road tests, recovery operations, and equipment turn-in.Active Secret clearanceU.S. citizenshipTechnical proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, component replacement, body repair, and power generation maintenanceEPA Section 608 and 609 certifications for personnel performing cooling or HVAC refrigerant workProficiency with mechanical and digital torque wrenches and diagnostic equipmentLicensed to operate all supported equipment per AR 600-55, valid state driver's licenseAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassistedGeneral knowledge of the Maintenance Module in GCSS-Army; Microsoft Office proficiency
