Weld County Government seeks a Fleet Financial Analyst to provide professional financial analysis, budgeting, procurement, and reporting support for Fleet Services. The role develops financial reports, supports operating and capital budgets, and liaises with Finance and Purchasing.

Responsibilities include analyzing expenditures, forecasts, procurement records, and KPIs; ensuring internal controls; and utilizing Excel and ERP systems for data-driven decisions. Open until filled.

Qualifikationen

• 3 years of progressively responsible experience in budgeting, accounting, financial analysis, reporting, procurement, contract administration, ERP systems, or related business functions.
• Preferred: Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field.
• 1–3 years of experience with governmental accounting, public-sector budgeting, fleet financial systems, procurement, contract management, Workday or comparable ERP systems, and advanced query/report writing.
• Strong analytical skills; knowledge of budgeting, accounting principles, and internal controls.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ability to learn county financial, fleet, fuel, and procurement systems.

Aufgaben

• Perform financial and operational analysis to support Fleet leadership and long-term planning.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and financial summaries.
• Analyze expenditures, vehicle costs, fuel usage, and lifecycle data; communicate findings to leadership.
• Assist with development and monitoring of KPIs and management reporting.
• Reconcile fuel transactions, invoices, and departmental billing; support journal entries and year-end processes.
