Job summary

MACC seeks an Operations Manager - Fleet & Facilities to provide strategic and operational leadership across all locations. The role develops systems, SOPs, and ensures safe, efficient operations while managing budgets, vendors, and cross-functional collaboration with Program Leadership, IT, Finance and Business Services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; degree preferred in business/operations.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in fleet, facilities, operations, logistics, or a related management role.
• 3+ years of supervisory or management experience, including leading teams, assigning work, and evaluating performance.
• Experience managing multi-site operations and coordinating cross-functional operational activities.
• Working knowledge of fleet management, vehicle maintenance, preventive maintenance programs, and facilities operations.
• Experience with fleet management, GPS, work order, asset management, or maintenance management software is preferred.
• Strong understanding of vehicle registration requirements, insurance documentation, accident reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and other business management software.
• Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Class A or Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL) is preferred.
• Experience with project management, process improvement, and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement short- and long-term operational strategies for Fleet and Facilities, including KPIs and annual work plans.
• Oversee day-to-day fleet operations, including vehicle assignments, maintenance, inspections, registrations, insurance, fuel cards, GPS, and records.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs with approved vendors to keep vehicles reliable.
• Monitor utilization, operating costs, and downtime; advise on replacements or acquisitions.
• Direct lifecycle management of fleet, facilities, and assets, including capital planning and inventories.
• Negotiate contracts, manage vendor performance, and ensure regulatory and contractual compliance.
• Recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate Fleet and Facilities staff.
• Oversee systems (GPS, work orders, asset management) to improve efficiency and cut costs.
• Plan needs for new locations, expansions, renovations, and site transitions in collaboration with other departments.
• Travel regularly to sites for inspections and project follow-ups.
• Promote MACC's safety culture, coordinate incident reviews and corrective actions to meet OSHA/DOT requirements.
• Serve as primary contact for Fleet and Facilities issues across MACC locations.
