Job summary

The Georgia Forestry Commission is seeking a Fleet and Fabrication Shop Manager in Dry Branch to oversee the agency's vehicle and equipment fleet, including fabrication shop operations and preventive maintenance.

You will coordinate vehicle assignments, manage repairs, monitor budgets, and train staff while ensuring compliance with state policies. In this role you will partner with agency leadership to meet fleet objectives and oversee fuel programs. Travel as needed is required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, with high proficiency in Excel.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn agency software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all facets of the agency vehicle and equipment fleet.
• Coordinate assignment, maintenance, and replacement of vehicles and equipment in the fleet program.
• Manage preventive maintenance and repairs; oversee fabrication and shop operations.
• Train staff on equipment maintenance and operation; perform budget submissions and expense tracking.
