Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent or higher.
  • Experience performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on gasoline- and diesel-powered vehicles/equipment.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of City vehicles, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic system issues.
  • Maintain gasoline, diesel, and alternative-fuel powered equipment.
  • Coordinate with operators, vendors, and other technicians to support fleet operations.
  • Document inspections, repairs, parts usage, and maintenance activities.
