Job summary

A leading construction firm in Nebraska is seeking a Heavy Equipment/Fleet Specialist to support equipment tracking and fleet activities. This role involves developing charge-out rates for equipment, ensuring compliance with maintenance schedules, and delivering reports to leadership. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and 5-10 years’ experience in fleet management or equipment finance. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with construction equipment are essential. Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in equipment finance, fleet management, or construction logistics.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable under company insurance.
• Able to regularly lift/handle/carry materials or product of moderate weight (10-20 lbs.).

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains internal charge-out rates for trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Partners with fleet maintenance to ensure preventive maintenance schedules reduce breakdowns.
• Delivers monthly reporting on fleet KPIs to leadership.

Skills

Strong modeling and data analysis skills

Familiarity with heavy highway or construction equipment

Knowledge of preventive maintenance and inspection programs

Education

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field
