Responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain equipment meter readings for all assigned departments and companies.
  • Enter equipment usage information into ECMS in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Verify meter and usage information for completeness and accuracy before processing.
  • Enter and maintain meter readings for specialized fleet systems.
  • Monitor missing or inconsistent equipment data and coordinate corrections with field personnel.
  • Run daily, weekly, and monthly Edit & Update processes after equipment usage has been entered.
  • Generate and distribute WEUR (Weekly Equipment Usage Reports) for all jobs, departments, and companies.
  • Create department-specific WEUR reports for designated operating divisions.
  • Review reports for accuracy and identify discrepancies requiring correction.
  • Maintain records and documentation supporting equipment utilization reporting.
  • Open equipment work orders as requested.
  • Establish and assign repair codes for maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure work order data is entered accurately and consistently.
  • Assist maintenance personnel with work order system administration and troubleshooting.
  • Issue new equipment identification numbers.
  • Enter initial equipment descriptions, locations, ownership information, costs, rates, and other required data into ECMS.
  • Establish and maintain equipment billing and charge-out rates.
  • Set up new inventory records and inventory numbers as needed.
  • Update asset records to reflect changes in status, location, or ownership.
  • Process equipment transfers between departments, jobs, and companies.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment movements and assignments.
  • Verify transfer transactions are properly reflected within ECMS and supporting reports.
  • Support equipment lifecycle management and asset tracking efforts.
  • Provide backup support for equipment administration personnel during absences, vacations, or increased workloads.
  • Assist with training new employees on equipment administration processes.
  • Support data integrity initiatives within ECMS and related fleet management systems.
  • Work closely with maintenance, operations, accounting, and management personnel to ensure accurate equipment costing and reporting.

POSITION SCOPE

The Fleet Equipment Control Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate equipment and inventory records within the Equipment Cost Management System (ECMS), ensuring timely equipment usage reporting, meter entry, work order administration, equipment transfers, and asset setup across multiple Fisher companies and divisions. This position serves as a critical support role for fleet operations by ensuring equipment data integrity, accurate cost allocation, and reporting for management decision-making.

PRIMARY DUTIES
Equipment Meter & Usage Management
  • Enter and maintain equipment meter readings for all assigned departments and companies.
  • Enter equipment usage information into ECMS in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Verify meter and usage information for completeness and accuracy before processing.
  • Enter and maintain meter readings for specialized fleet systems.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Works closely with Equipment Managers, Maintenance Supervisors, Shop Personnel, Operations Managers, Accounting Staff, and Equipment Administrators across all Fisher companies and divisions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
